Concert: Bala Brass, the new group out of Boston, bring their exciting repertoire to NYBC. Program includes music by Daniel Schnyder, Leonard Salzedo and a World Premiere to be announced at the concert!

Clinic: Walt Blanton, Jazz trumpeter, composer and Professor of Trumpet at the Community College of Southern Nevada presents "The Intuitive Ear," an improvised practice routine that shapes the aural sense needed to develop a personal jazz style.

Evening Concert:"Salute to Claudio Roditi". Brazilian born trumpeter, Claudio Roditi, has created his own unique blend of Brazilian music and jazz since the early seventies. In this 'Salute Performance', NYBC celebrates his outstanding career and music. Claudio is joined by an all-star rhythm section and invited guests including: Paquito D'Rivera, Slide Hampton, Steve Turre, Ray Vega and Jay Ashby

Dick will be joined by New York's powerhouse trombone ensemble: Manhattan Bones, featuring Scott Reeves, Tim Sessions Mark Patterson and Tim Newman along with rhythm section: Jim Ridl, Mike McGuirk and Andy Watson
